1. ACCEPTANCE

These Terms of Service govern your use of the TheBroVerbs mobile app (the “app”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and TheBroVerbs (“we,” “us,” “our”).

2. WHAT THE APP DOES

The app teaches a 208-verb curriculum through three modes: a readable library (THEBROVERBS), audio-visual lessons (COACH), and quizzes (QUIZ). Some content is free; other content requires a paid subscription.

3. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or purchase a subscription. Children may use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf.

4. YOUR ACCOUNT

You do not need an account to use the free features of the app. To sync progress across devices or receive the completion certificate, you must create an account with a valid email address and password.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING

The paid tier is offered as an auto-renewing subscription at $6 per month, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices may vary by country and are shown on the upgrade screen before you confirm.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current cycle and you retain paid access until then.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple or Google account settings. We do not process refunds directly — please contact Apple or Google for billing disputes.

Free-tier limits (5 coach lessons, 5 quiz attempts, 1 child profile) are subject to change as the app evolves. Existing paid subscribers will keep at least the features they had when they subscribed.

6. CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All curriculum, audio, images, logos, artwork, and software in the app are owned by TheBroVerbs or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial learning only.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, resell, or publicly display any part of the app or its content without our written permission.

The TheBroVerbs name and logo are our trademarks. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement without our permission.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to use the app to break the law, harass others, or interfere with the service. You agree not to attempt to access another user’s account, scrape the content, or probe for vulnerabilities. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The app relies on third-party services including Apple, Google, Supabase, RevenueCat, and Resend. Their terms and privacy policies apply to the parts of the service they provide. We are not responsible for their availability or practices.

9. DISCLAIMERS

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome (such as learning progress) will result from its use.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheBroVerbs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of your use of the app.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will not exceed the greater of $20 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. TERMINATION

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account by contacting admin@thebroverbs.co. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

12. CHANGES

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TheBroVerbs is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there, or, at our option, through binding individual arbitration. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
