1. WHO WE ARE
TheBroVerbs (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a mobile app that helps boys ages 3–13 learn an action-verb curriculum through reading, audio-visual lessons, and quizzes.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you and your child use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have. The app is designed to be used with active parent or guardian involvement. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
Child profile name. The display name you enter for each child “bro” profile. Nothing else about the child is required.
Parent email and password. Required only if you create an account to sync progress across devices or to receive the completion certificate. We do not require an account to use the free features of the app.
Progress data. Quiz scores, coach-lesson completion, and streak counts per profile. This is stored on your device. If you subscribe and sign in, this data is also stored in our cloud database so it can sync across your devices.
Payment status. We record whether your account has an active subscription. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or billing details — those are handled by Apple, Google, or our payments provider RevenueCat.
Diagnostic data. We may collect anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage counts (for example, how many lessons are completed per day) to improve the app. This data is not tied to a profile name.
3. HOW WE USE IT
- To provide the app’s core features: saving progress, tracking streaks, unlocking lessons and quizzes based on your subscription, and issuing a completion certificate.
- To sync your data across devices when you are signed in and subscribed.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To improve the app, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it to show advertising.
4. CHILDREN AND COPPA
The app is intended to be used by a child together with, or under the supervision of, a parent or legal guardian. Account creation and subscription management require an adult (age 18 or older).
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 beyond what is entered into a child’s display-name field by a parent. Child profile names are not used to create accounts, are not shared with third parties, and live only on your device unless you choose to sync.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at admin@thebroverbs.co and we will delete it.
5. HOW WE SHARE
We share your information only with service providers that help us run the app, and only to the extent necessary for them to do their job:
- Supabase (database and authentication) — stores your account email, password hash, child profile names, and progress data when you are signed in.
- Apple, Google, and RevenueCat (payments) — process and verify your subscription. We do not see your payment details.
- Resend (email delivery) — delivers transactional emails such as your completion certificate.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6. YOUR CHOICES
- You can use the app without creating an account. Everything stays on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app.
- You can review and edit any child profile name from the NAME screen.
- You can delete any child profile, which permanently removes that profile’s progress from your device and, if you are signed in, from our servers.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Apple or Google subscription settings on your device.
- To delete your entire account and all associated cloud data, email admin@thebroverbs.co from the address on the account. We will delete it within 30 days.
7. SECURITY
We use industry-standard measures to protect the information we store, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and row-level security on our database so one account’s data cannot be read by another. No online service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
